Objective

The "DIGIZENSHIP" project promotes horizontal democratic involvement, shared values, and civic engagement. The project empowers rural adults and adult educators to explore and use their European rights and possibilities. This includes encouraging rural folks to participate in European democracy and build a sense of community and belonging.

The project targets rural adult digital preparedness, resilience, and capacity to achieve this goal. This will let people use digital and interactive technologies to learn about European citizenship chances and connect with other adults and adult educators who are interested in these opportunities.

 

The project also promotes European citizenship options in education, work, and movement and develops digital and participative tool skills. DIGIZENSHIP will offer high-quality, flexible adult learning and promote learning among all citizens and generations to achieve these goals.

 

The project emphasises high-quality, flexible adult learning. This will enable rural folks learn how to use digital and participative technologies and learn about European citizenship chances.

 

The project also promotes learning for all ages. The project will develop a rural adult educator network that actively pursues citizenship possibilities. This will assist rural folks feel like European citizens and comprehend the EU's values and principles.

 

DIGIZENSHIP promotes European democracy via awareness, skills, and community. The project will enable rural persons realise their European citizenship and create a more inclusive, engaged, and informed European citizenry.

 

Finally, the project will promote intergenerational discourse and interaction through involving older and younger generations. Adult-youth programmes, training, and community events will accomplish this. The project will allow young individuals to communicate their views on European citizenship with older generations. Young people can offer new perspectives and ideas to dissemination events like lectures and panel discussions, making intergenerational discourse more dynamic and inclusive. Intergenerational engagement will strengthen community connections and knowledge, especially about European citizenship.

Activities

​The above-mentioned goals will be met through 2 main activities: Development of a DIGIZENSHIP toolkit on EU citizenship opportunities and Development of  civil European hackathons for adult in rural areas.
