Objective
VOC's general objective is to foster the understanding of the policymaking process among migrant and refugees’ girls, showing in practice how to engage in the democratic life of the EU and enabling them to make known and publicly exchange their views in all areas of Union action. The specific objectives include increasing migrant and refugees’ girls' awareness of their rights and EU values, strengthening their democratic participation and bringing them closer to European institutions, communicating their views and concerns to policymakers at all levels, including intersectional dimensions, and making the new consultative body operational and enhancing its capabilities.
Activities
The project's objectives will be achieved through the collection and presentation of stories from a minimum of 40 young migrants in each partner country using online crowdsourcing. These stories will be showcased in an interactive digital exhibition.
Additionally, the project will develop educational videos and methodological guidelines to enhance youth workers' comprehension of the role of public history in promoting inclusion. Intercultural training for young migrants in Portugal will further enhance their digital and intercultural competencies. Through these initiatives, the project aims to foster intercultural understanding, empower youth workers, and provide a platform for sharing diverse migration experiences.
